Serenity House is a perfect retreat for two. Can sleep as many as four. It is located high in the trees. It boasts a beautiful view of the property from the sizable porch for enjoying a drink under the stars. Let the space sway you to sleep as the wind blows the treehouse side to side.
Serenity House is 460 square feet space with a loft bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living area and spacious porch. The treehouse overlooks a small valley and during winter months you can see our horse pastures.
Guests can enjoy walking the trails around and through the 300+ acre property. As well as visiting the pond for fishing and swimming, the horses and highland cows.
Please note the loft with the queen bed is up a ladder. If you are not able to climb stairs or a ladder this place may be difficult for you. (Consider sleeping on the couch pull-out bed if you’re not comfortable with the ladder)
This space is located high in the trees (about 20 ft at eye level at the highest point, and about 80 ft above the valley floor).
We have a cream and white dog, LeeLoo, that has free range of the property. She will most likely greet you when she is on the property or join you on your walk. She's very sweet and social, she just wants to meet everyone! (She will bark at you until she gets enough nerve to give you a smell)
**There is No TV in this space. There is also VERY LITTLE CELL PHONE SERVICE! We recommend bringing books, games, journals or small hobbies.
Other listings on the property can be found at RockNRefuge.com.
We are located on 300+ acres of Tennessee farmland. Trails through and around the property for hiking. Garden and fresh chicken eggs available as the season allows. Pond for swimming and fishing.
Beef from our cattle is available for purchase as well. (Cuts may be limited).
We love the opportunity to meet our guests if you want/we are able. If not, we tend to leave our guests to enjoy the solitude of the farm.
Please call or text if you need anything or have any questions.
We have three other rentals on the property as well as our family's homes. Know that if you stay with us there is a chance you'll run into other visitors or family while accessing the trails or the pond! All guests are welcome to share the pond. Do not hesitate to come join the fun if you see people are down there.
Directions for Long Rifle Loop Trail: From the treehouse turn right or left. Follow the gravel road until it becomes red clay path. Continue on the red clay path until you get back to the gravel road. Right takes you to the pond and barn past the eagle statue. Left takes you around the property to the tree-fort and to the barn and pond.
Directions **From Highway 70 to RNR: take Bold Spring Rd SOUTH (turning on the road between First Federal Bank and Sonic) Follow Bold Springs (staying right at the first fork and left at the second fork in the road) 9 miles. Rock N Refuge is on your left, mailbox on your right.
The power has a habit of going out in inclement weather or strong winds. It doesn’t normally stay out for longer than 2-3 hours. In the country, if the power is out, so is the water. So you will not be able to flush the potty during an outage. We provide candles, flash lights, puzzles and books for your entertainment during the outages. We’re sorry for the inconvenience but if your power is out, so is ours. We feel your pain and frustration.
The closest grocery store is 10 miles away. We suggest going to the store BEFORE you arrive and getting essential food items! We have suggestions for where to shop both locally and regionally listed in the guide book.".
THERE IS INTERNET ACCESS at this cabin. BUT, There is NO TV and VERY LITTLE CELL SERVICE! Please plan accordingly! (That means bring your own devices!)
There is a $40 pet fee added to your stay. (Alternatively, you can leave cash in the envelope provided.) We also ask that you bring something to cover the furniture if your pup is accustomed to being on the sofa or bed. Pets MUST be up to date on flea and tick medication before you arrive!!! Please carefully read other pet rules before you arrive.
Check in is flexible. We TRY to accomodate early check in when we can ...just ask us if it's doable!
Check out is at 10am unless otherwise discussed with us.
Please feel free to share any photos of your time on our farm to our social media page, Rock 'N Refuge, @rock_n_refuge or #rocknrefuge #serenityhouse
We do have eggs and beef from our farm animals if you'd like to purchase any of those items. (Please note that depending on the time of year eggs may be unavailable and beef may be sparse).
Your first load of firewood is free, but any subsequent load of wood after that will be $10 cash.
